Curtis Reaves Design Studio
Curtis Reaves
I hope to enrich the lives of individuals with my photography. I see value in all kinds of discarded and seemingly useless materials, and I naturally envision unlimited possibilities in making photographic compositions.
My career in photography continues to develop in surprising ways. I originally began as a photojournalist, which evolved into a passion for fine art photography, leading to exhibitions in musuems and galleries nationally. Currently, my work concentrates on still life photography, where I manipulate a range of repurposed materials. This new direction in my work has allowed more creative freedom, and I envision translating my photography into products for home and office decor, along with public art. What I enjoy most about photography is that images can produce dialogue and its viewers contemplate as well as experience the images in their own way. Transforming my photography into the decor market will organically lend itself to be seen by a broader audience and provide a heightened experience and perspective for my clients.
